Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 23 Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office, held talks with Amarin, the chief special adviser of the Brazilian President, in Beijing on May 23.

Wang Yi said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, and is willing to close high-level exchanges with Pakistan, strengthen strategic coordination and enhance the positioning of bilateral relations. China will fully support Brazil's work as the rotating presidency of the G20 this year, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with Brazil to promote the development of China Latin America relations.

Amorim said that Pakistan China relations are of strategic significance. He is willing to constantly enrich the connotation of Pakistan China relations and closely coordinate with China on multilateral platforms.

The two sides jointly issued the Consensus of China and Brazil on a Political Solution to the Ukrainian Crisis.
