Wang Qian is the daughter of Wang Baoquan, the head coach of Tianjin Women's Volleyball Team. In recent years, she has gradually replaced Zhang Na, the old national player, as the main free man of the team, and is one of the outstanding free men emerging in China. Wang Qian is characterized by good defense and the ability of first pass needs to be further improved.
In 2009, he was selected into the Chinese Women's Volleyball National Team coached by Cai Bin, and won the fifth place in the Grand Prix and the second place in the Asian Championships with the team. In 2010, Wang Baoquan entered the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team, and Wang Qian was naturally selected into the national team and trained in the Swiss Classic, the Russian Presidential Cup and the Grand Prix. With Wang Baoquan's resignation, Yu Juemin accepted the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team and chose Shan Danna, a newcomer of Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Team, as a free agent. Wang Qian gradually became a marginal national player. In 2011 and 2012, Wang Qian was included in the national team but did not participate in the training.
