With his father's encouragement, Flana began to engage in cycling in Spain in 1986. Her father is a professional driver.
Flana currently plays for the Teslamica Spiuk Tau team in Braness, Spain. After 1998, her coach was Gert Jane Steffmann.
The 2000 Olympic Games bronze medal, but four years ago in Athens failed to complete the competition. She is 36 years old and the winner of the 1999 Sweden Aren and 2000 Spain Sierra Nevada World Cup.
