Jiang Yuyuan started gymnastics training at the age of 4, joined the Zhejiang Provincial Team at the age of 7, and joined the national team in 2002. After five years of training, he gradually stood out in the national competition. In June 2007, he won the third place in the women's uneven bars at the national gymnastics championship.

Jiang Yuyuan's biggest feature is that the strength of the four events is average. The uneven bars, vault and free exercise can rank among the top three in the country, while free exercise and vault are only second to Cheng Fei.

Jiang Yuyuan won the runner up in the women's all-around event at the 2010 World Gymnastics Championships, which is the best performance of Chinese women athletes in the all-around event in history.

The second place of the women's team and the fourth place of free exercise at the 2007 World Championships, the champion of uneven bars and free exercise at Shanghai World Cup;

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games team gold medal, individual all-around sixth, floor exercise fourth, the World Cup finals uneven bars, floor exercise runner up;

The third place in group and the second place in individual all-around at the 2010 World Gymnastics Championships;

The women's team of the 2011 World Championships won the third place.
