Guangzhou, May 22 (Reporter He Linping) At 10:18 on May 18, the 110 alarm service desk in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province received a call from the police, who said that a minor traffic accident occurred on a road in Pinghai Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City, but could not clearly describe the detailed address and current situation. The police receiver immediately started the 5G video alarm function. After guidance, the alarm person used the mobile phone camera to take real-time pictures of the scene and the nearby landmark buildings and send them back, helping the police receiver quickly grasp the scene situation and location, which effectively guaranteed the rapid handling of the police situation.

Recently, Guangdong Public Security and Guangdong Mobile explored the operation of 5G video alarm in Huizhou, combining 5G network technology with 110 application scenarios. When the alarm person sends an alarm to Huizhou 110, the alarm receiver can directly send a video call request to the alarm person according to the needs of receiving and handling the alarm. After the alarm person agrees, the video connection can be realized. This alarm receiving method is simple and convenient. It does not need to change the existing way for people to dial 110, and it does not need to install mobile applications or start small programs in advance. If the alarm person thinks that video alarm is not necessary, he can give an alarm by voice according to the original mode.

Which conditions are suitable for 5G video alarm? The relevant person in charge of the Information Command Center of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department said that in case of emergency such as major disasters, or hearing impaired people are not convenient to speak, the police officer will judge whether to launch a video call according to the situation after calling 110. For example, in case of a sudden accident on the highway, the police officer can't accurately describe the scene or describe it in a confused way, so the police receiver can immediately initiate a video call to see the scene in real time.
