Southeast Network News on May 13( Correspondent Huang Zhongquan, Liao Jinpeng )"I saw a white object in the bush. At first, I thought it was a plastic cloth or a hard hat. When I looked closer, it was similar to the size of a football, soft to the touch, and more like some kind of creature." Recently, a Yong'an citizen talked about the scene of finding a giant puffer on the roadside in Taoyuan Cave Scenic Area, Yong'an City, and was excited.

The giant puffer found this time is oval, about 30cm long, 17cm high and 931g heavy. At first glance, it looks like a mass of white cotton and a huge white steamed bun. Influenced by the recent plum rain weather, the humidity in the wild is high and the temperature is relatively high, which provides favorable growth conditions for many large fungi in the mountains. However, this is the first time to record such a giant puffer in Yong'an.

Big bald puff, also called big puff, giant puff. The fruiting body is generally 15~35cm in diameter, and some are larger, even exceeding 1m. It is spherical, nearly spherical or irregular spherical in shape and has no stem. It is connected to the ground by a crude funiculus. Sometimes it grows alone or in groups on grassland and sand, and sometimes it grows on shrubbery. It is a kind of fungus with certain medicinal value. It can be eaten when young, and used as a medicinal material after aging.
