People's Daily, Chengdu, June 13 (Wang Fan) In the wave of modern agriculture, Wenjiang, Chengdu is becoming a hot spot for investment. On June 12, the Chengdu International Horticultural Exposition Modern Urban Agricultural Industry Circle Building and Strong Chain Investment Promotion Conference was held in Wenjiang District. 22 key projects were signed, with a total planned investment of 10.2 billion yuan, including 16 signed projects in Wenjiang District, with a planned investment of about 9 billion yuan.

The promotion conference was jointly sponsored by Chengdu Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Chengdu Investment Promotion Bureau and Wenjiang District People's Government of Chengdu, aiming to build a collaborative and efficient agricultural industry ecosystem, promote the deep integration of three industries, and promote the common prosperity of urban and rural areas. The promotion will focus on key areas such as modern seed industry, green planting, Tianfu granary construction, integration of agriculture, commerce, culture and tourism, high-tech agriculture and digital agriculture, and plan to launch a series of forward-looking and innovative investment projects.

At the event site, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released a list of 2024 modern urban agriculture investment opportunities. Pujiang County, Dayi County, Chengdu Agricultural Exchange, and Wenjiang District made presentations based on their respective modern urban agriculture development, and representatives of the contracted enterprises made speeches. Wenjiang District has released a list of investment opportunities and industrial policies for Wenjiang District in 2024 in the form of electronic QR code.

At the centralized signing ceremony, 22 projects including Huifeng Asparagus National Headquarters Base were signed in a centralized manner, with a total planned investment of about 10.2 billion yuan. Among them, Wenjiang District signed 16 industrialization projects, including Shanghai Muzhihe Southwest Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Headquarters and Hangzhou Hongsheng Beverage Refined Beverage Production Base, with a total planned investment of about 9 billion yuan, covering modern urban agriculture, modern commerce, cultural and sports tourism, digital economy, medicine and health, green food, electronic information and other fields.

As the venue of the 2024 Chengdu International Horticultural Exposition, Wenjiang District is actively building a "3+6" modern industrial system, focusing on the development of modern urban agriculture as one of the three landmark industries. Guided by the establishment of a national agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone, Wenjiang District is focusing on modern seed industry, grain and economic crops, flower gardening and other fields, cultivating and developing new agricultural productivity, laying out new business models for the integration of agriculture, commerce, culture, tourism, sports and nutrition, and promoting the deep integration of modern urban agriculture and green food industry.
