People come to talk about: the old have learned, the old have fun, and the old can do something

With the increasing aging of the population in China, all regions actively promote education for the elderly, and help the elderly learn and enjoy themselves in a variety of activities, so that they can live a full and happy life. However, with the development of society, the education for the elderly has gradually ushered in new challenges. How to help and promote the willing and capable elderly to continue to realize the value of life and make contributions to society has become a problem that needs to be considered in the next step of elderly education.

Learning and enjoying for the elderly is the basis of education for the elderly and the basic needs of the majority of the elderly. In recent years, local governments and social institutions have integrated resources to promote the rapid development of education for the elderly, including relying on the Party masses service center, comprehensive elderly care service center, opening universities for the elderly, homes for the elderly, etc. The courses offered include singing and dancing instruments, literature and art, mobile phone computer operation, etc., which meet the safety and social needs of the elderly. Some regions also take the way of "visit+experience+lecture+discussion" to organize the elderly to understand the development trend of science and technology frontier on a regular basis, so as to help the elderly walk at the forefront of the digital era. The elderly education extends from individual groups to inclusive, so that people can enjoy high-quality elderly education at home.

However, with the continuous improvement of the education level of the newly entered elderly group, higher requirements have been put forward for the elderly education. At present, most of the elderly education in China still stays at the level of "sense of belonging and respect" in practice, but the exploration of "self realization" is not deep enough and there are few methods. There are relatively gaps in meeting the needs of the elderly to realize their own values, and the elderly's various abilities have not been fully exerted. In fact, some capable and willing elderly people are not satisfied with basic teaching contents such as communication, entertainment and science popularization, but hope to acquire more professional and practical knowledge. This requires the education for the elderly to reflect its own role and social service effect on the "road" of economic society and provide more opportunities for innovation and creation of the elderly.

Helping the elderly realize themselves is not only to meet the needs of minorities, but also to meet the needs of social development in the context of population aging. At present, China is in the rapid development stage of population aging, and high-quality population development is a means to actively respond to population aging. The development of "silver talents" resources will help to supplement the demand for talents in the labor market, create greater value and reduce the pressure of aging population on social and economic development. In this sense, the development vision and path of education for the elderly should be integrated into the strategic requirements of the country to actively respond to population aging. The elderly with certain cultural, scientific and technological literacy and learning needs should be gathered together, so that the elderly who have the will to serve the society can also provide intellectual support for government decision-making, enterprise development, and social progress.

At present, aging services have become an important measure for the society to care for the elderly. While providing services, we should also pay attention to the needs of the elderly for self creation and self realization, so that the elderly who are willing and capable can not only learn and enjoy their old age, but also make achievements in their old age.
