On March 6, Liang Jingyi, a Chinese athlete, won the gold medal in the Paralympic Winter Paralympic Games in the men's super giant slalom standing group. So far, the Chinese delegation has temporarily ranked first in the medal list of the Paralympic Winter Games with its achievements of 6 gold, 4 silver and 6 copper. The Chinese Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team has won nearly half of the medals. Chinese athletes have won 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 copper in the Paralympic Alpine Skiing Project, making a historic breakthrough.

On the first competition day of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, the Chinese Paralympic Alpine Ski Team won two silvers and one bronze, Zhu Daqing, Yan Hanhan, Zhang Mengqiu and Liu Sitong. On March 6, there were many good news. Zhang Mengqiu, a Chinese athlete, won the gold medal in the Paralympic Alpine Skiing Women's Super Slalom Standing Group with a time of 1 minute 13 seconds. This was the third gold medal of the Chinese delegation and the first gold medal of the Chinese Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team in this Paralympic Games. In the following Paralympic Alpine Skiing Men's Super Slalom Standing Group Competition, Chinese athlete Liang Jingyi won the gold medal with a time of 1:09.11, which was the first gold medal won by Chinese male athletes in the alpine skiing event of the Winter Paralympic Games. Zhang Wenjing, Zhu Daqing and Yan Hanhan won bronze medals respectively in the sitting position group and the visually impaired group of women's super giant slalom.

The Chinese Paralympic Alpine Ski Team was established in 2016, and the current coach is Italian coach Capelli Dalio. This is a young team, but the speed of growth is amazing. During the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympic Games, only one person from China participated in the Paralympic Alpine Skiing. In just four years, the number of Chinese athletes who participated in the Paralympic Alpine Skiing Competition at the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games has reached a historic 22, and both the number of participants and the overall strength have achieved leapfrog development.

At the Pingchang Winter Paralympic Games, Liu Sitong was the first athlete in China's history to participate in the alpine skiing event of the Winter Paralympic Games. She missed a flag gate due to errors in the women's rotation sitting position competition, and finally won the sixth place. At the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, Liu Sitong once again challenged the highest honor. On March 5, Liu Sitong won the bronze medal in the sitting position group in the Paralympic Women's Alpine Skiing downhill race with a time of 1 minute 32 seconds. Four years later, the girl with red eyes at the Pingchang Winter Paralympic Games finally realized her dream at home.

When the national anthem of the People's Republic of China is played twice and the Chinese flag is raised on all sides in Yanqing Paralympic Award Square, the world will witness the highlight moment of the Chinese Paralympic Alpine Ski Team.

The Chinese Paralympic Alpine Ski Team has created history and witnessed the development of the snow and ice sports for the disabled in China from one person to 22 people who have won the qualification. In recent years, the cause of the disabled in China has continued to develop and progress. Accessible facilities have become more and more popular, and the disabled can have equal education, employment opportunities and other rights. With the release of the white paper "Sports Development and Rights Protection for the Disabled in China" and the spread of the concept of "integration of disability and health", it is believed that more and more disabled people will actively integrate into and participate in society and sports in the future, face the future with a positive and optimistic attitude, and live a wonderful life.
