On March 1, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the establishment of the major research project of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education in 2023. The project "Research on the construction of modern circulation system under the new development pattern" presided over by Professor Zhang Mingyu of the School of Economics and Management of our school as the chief expert was approved. This is another new breakthrough of the school's philosophy and social science research in the face of the country's major strategic needs, major subjects of basic research, and cutting-edge difficult issues of the discipline.
The major project of philosophy and social science research of the Ministry of Education is an important part of the "Prosperity Plan of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities". Together with the major project of the National Social Science Fund, it is called the project with the highest level, the largest funding and the strongest authority in the field of philosophy and social science research in China, and an important indicator to measure the development level and scientific research strength of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities.
The school focuses on solving major theoretical and practical problems that are forward-looking, strategic and overall in the process of national economic construction and social development, and takes improving the ability and level of serving the overall situation of the party and the state as the strategic goal to implement the cultivation and support plan for major projects in philosophy and social sciences, Focusing on in-depth promotion of Xi Jinping's systematic and theoretical research on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era; Carry out pre research on major issues such as accelerating the construction of the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, and building China's independent knowledge system, make early layout in the cultivation link by combining advantages, highlight features in the topic selection link, and make joint efforts to tackle key problems in the subject application link, Effectively improve the ability and level of philosophy and social science scholars of the school to participate in solving major theoretical and practical problems of the country.

This project closely focuses on the key issues of efficiency improvement and policy guarantee system construction of modern circulation system under the new development pattern, and the establishment of mutual promotion mechanism of domestic and international two-way circulation. The research goal is to establish the evaluation index system of modern circulation system, and propose the efficiency improvement strategy of modern circulation system; Build a modern comprehensive logistics network system and enhance the core value of modern circulation system to reduce costs and increase efficiency; Clarify the direction of modern circulation system construction under the new development pattern, construct the innovative business form of "digital module platform network ecology" of modern circulation system, and realize the curve overtaking of China's modern circulation system construction; Build the value creation mechanism, income distribution mechanism and coordination decision-making mechanism of domestic and international two-way circulation to provide security for the modern circulation system to move towards the world; Clarify the circulation support system and policy guarantee system under the new development pattern, and form the government regulation as the guiding force and technological innovation as the driving force to realize the efficiency, digitalization, intelligence, internationalization and integration of the modern circulation system.
Introduction of Chief Expert:
Zhang Mingyu is currently the chairman of the Academic Committee of the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, a secondary professor and doctoral supervisor. Research fields: strategic management and organizational innovation, logistics management and circulation innovation. He also served as a member of the Discipline Review Group of the State Council, and was selected as the leading talent of philosophy and social science in the Ten Thousand Talents Plan. He has won more than ten awards, including the second prize of the scientific research achievement award (humanities and social sciences) of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the outstanding achievement award of philosophy and social sciences in Beijing, and the outstanding postgraduate instructor in Beijing. He has published more than 100 papers in Management World, etc; He has presided over and completed a number of major projects of the National Social Science Fund, national science and technology support projects, and is currently presiding over the major research projects of philosophy and social science of the Ministry of Education.
