In December 2023, the national finals of China University Students' Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition (referred to as "China Industrial Innovation Competition") will be held in Jilin University, Northwest Polytechnical University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Central South University and other universities. This competition has three tracks and eight events, including "new energy vehicle", "intelligent+" and "virtual simulation". A total of 19800 teams and 68000 college students from more than 700 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition. After fierce competition and layer upon layer selection, the student team of our school won two gold awards, one silver award and two bronze awards in the national finals of China Industrial Innovation Competition. This is the first time that our school has won the gold and silver prizes since it participated in this event in 2010.

Under the guidance of Song Zhikun and Fang Hairong from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our university, a team composed of undergraduate students Qin Buhe, Wei Didi, Gu Zhe and Fu Xingyuan completed the design of performance parameters and conceptual scheme of armed helicopters in the conceptual design and confrontation of the aircraft design simulation event of China Industrial Innovation Competition, taking the conceptual design of a new generation of armed helicopters as the background, And the designed conceptual aircraft is brought into the aircraft conceptual design confrontation simulation contest system to verify the confrontation simulation task. In the fierce competition, he was successfully promoted to the top eight of the country, and finally won the fifth place in the country and the national gold medal.

Under the guidance of Song Zhikun from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our university, the team formed by undergraduates Niu Zhongyuan, Meng Moral Education and Li Yanbo completed equipment configuration, force deployment, task planning and other work according to the given virtual scene and task requirements of aviation emergency rescue joint mission in the system design and application event of the aircraft design simulation event of China Industrial Innovation Competition, Design a search and rescue system scheme for joint use of multiple aircraft types and conduct deduction, evaluation and decision-making. After fierce competition, it won the 7th place nationwide and the national gold medal.

Under the guidance of Song Zhikun and Shi Hongmei from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our university, a team of undergraduate students Liu Zhanshuo, Zhang Jiachen, Zheng Xuyan and Zhu Haoran designed and developed an intelligent logistics transport robot in the intelligent logistics transport event of the "Smart+" track of the China Industrial Innovation Competition. The robot adopts the chassis design of McNamm wheel and progressive motor, Through the overall control of raspberry pie 4B and stm32, using visual sensing and the deep learning framework based on tensor flow, the robot can accurately identify objects, enable the robot to navigate and accurately locate independently, and greatly improve the efficiency of logistics transportation. After fierce competition, he finally won the national silver medal.

The two teams formed by Wang Zhengchao and Wen Jiaxin, undergraduate students of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our school, also won the qualification of the National Finals of China Industrial Innovation Competition with the achievement of the Beijing Grand Prize, and won the national bronze medal of the temperature difference electric vehicle event of the new energy vehicle track and the digital project scene event respectively in the National Finals of China Industrial Innovation Competition.

The Chinese Undergraduate Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition is one of the three major competitions hosted by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, and is the largest and highest level competition in the category of engineering innovation practice in China. The competition focuses on the training of engineers to meet the needs of global sustainable development, serves the development strategies of national innovation drive and manufacturing power, actively responds to the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial tide, deepens the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, and builds a broad platform for young students to demonstrate their ability and exchange and learn from each other, To comprehensively improve the comprehensive quality and ability of college students in engineering innovation.
