From August 11 to 15, 2023, under the guidance of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, sponsored by China Simulation Society and undertaken by Lanzhou University of Technology, the final of the 17th "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge was successfully held in Lanzhou, and our students won two special awards.

This competition attracted 699 colleges and universities including Zhejiang University, Beijing University of Technology, Harbin University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and more than 21000 students signed up to participate in the competition. The competition was held in 52 sub competition areas nationwide, and the final of the two teams of our school was the fifth rank finals. In the final, the team of our school demonstrated excellent teamwork and innovative practical ability, and demonstrated the extraordinary creativity of the contestants in the field of intelligent manufacturing by simulating the design and implementation of typical industrial automation systems.

The "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, guided by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education and hosted by the China Simulation Society, aims to select and cultivate high-end talents who understand technology, management, business and high-level humanistic qualities in various fields such as production planning, quality control and system optimization, The competition has become one of the largest and influential student competitions in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China. In 2019, the competition became the ranking project of the National Discipline Competition for Ordinary Colleges and Universities of the Chinese Association of Higher Education. With the guiding ideology of "based on training, focusing on participation, facing projects, and pursuing excellence", the competition is committed to promoting learning, teaching, and training through competition, and effectively cultivating "new engineers" facing the future.
