Recently, the Ministry of Education released the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Publishing the Team for the Construction of the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" Higher Education Textbook System in Strategic Emerging Fields (JGTH [2023] No. 20), which published the list of the team for the construction of the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" higher education textbook system in strategic emerging fields. A total of 69 teams from 60 universities in 22 fields were selected. In order to fully implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statement on education, deepen the construction of new engineering courses, and strengthen the training of outstanding engineers in strategic emerging fields in colleges and universities, the Ministry of Education has organized the construction of the teaching material system for higher education in strategic emerging fields during the 14th Five Year Plan, aiming to accelerate the construction of a teaching material system that reflects the spirit of the times, integrates industry and learning consensus A teaching material system for higher education majors featuring digital empowerment and strategic emerging fields.

The university attaches great importance to the application work. After careful research and judgment, combined with the advantages of the university, the undergraduate college, together with the School of Transportation and Beijing Jiaotong University Press, organized a 35 person teaching material writing, editing and publishing team led by Professor Shao Chunfu to respond to the digital strategy of education and create 15 textbooks in the strategic emerging field "urban transportation" series.

Professor Shao Chunfu's teaching material construction team, centering on the new situation and new requirements of the development of China's urban transportation field, with the support of the "12th Five Year Plan" national key publication publishing planning project, published and issued the "Urban Transportation Series Teaching Materials" in 2016, and undertook the "research and practice of teaching materials in emerging fields" in 2021 The project "Research and Construction of Series Teaching Materials in the Field of Urban Transport in the New Era (Eeet-202124)" has passed the acceptance. Around the emerging field of urban transport, the research on talent training needs, knowledge, teaching materials, knowledge and skill system has been carried out, and the construction of a series of teaching materials from "Introduction to Urban Transport", "Urban Master Plan", "Urban Transport Survey", and "Urban Transport Plan" has been completed The teaching material system consists of 15 volumes of teaching materials, including Urban Traffic Flow Theory, Urban Public Transport, Urban Traffic Management and Control, Urban Traffic Design, Urban Traffic Hub, Urban Road Engineering, Urban Traffic Safety, Urban Traffic Economy, Urban Intelligent Transport System, Urban Intelligent Logistics, and Urban Traffic Experimentation Course, It provides three-dimensional resources for training high-level transportation talents in cities, metropolitan areas and urban agglomerations.
