In 2013, Xie Binrong, a senior engineer of an air force department, returned to his hometown Chongqing after retiring from the army. By chance, after graduating from a normal university, she saw on the Internet that Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province was in urgent need of volunteer teachers. At that time, she had the idea of supporting education. Since then, Xie Binrong has been like a "migratory bird", shuttling back and forth between the mountains in the city, and "carrying" knowledge and love to the children in Daliang Mountain.

Xie Binrong, born in Zhongxian County, Chongqing in October 1971, is a volunteer teaching volunteer in Zhaganluo Village, Wagu Township, Meigu County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. He was awarded the title of "National March 8th Red Bannerman" and "National Model of Helping Others", and was awarded the title of "Most Beautiful Ex serviceman" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Xie Binrong, who joined the army in 1993, served for 20 years in the remote and difficult Ejina Banner of Inner Mongolia. At the beginning of 2014, she went to Liangshan alone and became a volunteer teacher.

Whenever school starts, she comes to the mountain to volunteer for several months. From Guzhe Primary School in Taihe Town, Xichang City, to Yirao Primary School in Erqi Township, Meigu County, and then to Zhaganluo Primary School in Wagu Township, Meigu County, Xie Binrong wrote his own ballads to teach children about Pinyin and Chinese characters, adapted the texts into sitcoms for children to guide and perform by themselves, and helped them develop good living habits.

What makes Yi girl Jikersi unforgettable is that once she was ill and could not walk, Teacher Xie carried her home and accompanied her to wait for her family to come back. From then on, wherever she went, she called teacher Xie "A Mo" (meaning "mother" in Yi language).

"Treat these children sincerely, and they will treat you as a family member," Xie Binrong said.

So far, Xie Binrong has been supporting teaching for 11 semesters in Liangshan, an area with an altitude of more than 3000 meters, inconvenient transportation, and lack of water and electricity. He has raised more than 20000 yuan to build classrooms, let 128 children without school status study in public schools, and also helped villagers connect and introduce funds for breeding poverty alleviation.
