Recently, the water temperature of Taohua River in Taojiang County, Hunan Province has risen, which is the spawning period of carp, grass carp, silver carp, crucian carp and other fish. However, some villagers densely laid dozens of ground cages and silk nets (see figure) in the nearby waters to catch the ovulating "seed fish", causing damage to the fish resources and ecological environment in the waters.

It is hoped that the local law enforcement department will attach great importance to this issue, strengthen the publicity and education of laws and regulations, crack down on illegal behaviors such as "electric fishing" and cage net fishing, and protect fishery resources and ecological environment.
