   The Beijing Guangzhou High speed Railway has realized 350 km/h operation of Fuxing EMU trains

At about 8:00 p.m. on the 15th, train D909 started from Beijing West Railway Station, and train D907 started from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and headed to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station. This is the first time that high-speed trains have been running between Beijing and Hong Kong, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The train starts in the evening and arrives in the morning.

The ordinary speed through train running between Beijing West, Shanghai and Hong Kong Hung Hom Station has been upgraded to high-speed train between Beijing West, Shanghai Hongqiao and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The travel time between Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong has been reduced from 24 hours, 31 minutes and 19 hours, 34 minutes to 12 hours, 34 minutes and 11 hours, 14 minutes respectively. The high-speed railway motor sleeper train consists of 2 second-class carriages, 13 motor sleeper carriages, and 1 dining car. The number of transit seats on each train has increased to more than 600, significantly increasing compared with the original ordinary speed through train. In terms of customs clearance, the original mode of "two places and two inspections" for the departure and destination of ordinary speed through trains was changed to "one place and two inspections" for high-speed trains at West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, which significantly reduced the customs clearance time. The cross-border passengers of the former ordinary express train can only depart or arrive from Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Today, passengers can depart or arrive at Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen North, Hangzhou East and other stations along the Beijing Hong Kong and Shanghai Hong Kong high-speed trains. In terms of the date of operation, the original ordinary speed through train will be operated on alternate days instead of Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and the number of trains operated each week will increase from 14 to 16, providing convenience for passengers to travel on weekends.

On the same day, the whole Beijing Guangzhou high-speed railway line realized the operation of Fuxing EMU trains at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the overall transport capacity increased by 4.2%, which is equivalent to the daily opening of up to 10.8 Beijing Guangzhou high-speed trains and 16000 seats. The fastest travel time from Beijing West and Wuhan to Guangzhou South is 7 hours, 16 minutes and 3 hours, 17 minutes, 22 minutes and 23 minutes shorter respectively; The fastest travel time from Changsha South to Guangzhou South is 1 hour and 59 minutes, reducing by 19 minutes.

China has built safety standard demonstration lines for Beijing Shanghai High speed Railway, Beijing Tianjin Intercity Railway, Beijing Zhangjiakou High speed Railway, Chengdu Chongqing High speed Railway, Beijing Guangzhou High speed Railway and other lines, and the operating mileage of high-speed railway for Fuxing EMU trains operating at a high standard speed of 350 kilometers per hour has reached 6798 kilometers.

From January to May this year, 1.73 billion passengers were sent by railways nationwide, up 20.2% year on year; The daily average number of passenger trains operated was 10463, up 1174 or 12.7% year on year; On May 1, 20.693 million passengers were sent, setting a new record for daily passenger traffic.
