People's Daily, Macao, May 22 (Reporter Fu Zimei) The Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government recently held the 2022/2023 school annual "outstanding teachers" award ceremony to commend 15 teaching staff for their outstanding performance in education.

"The Education and Youth Bureau will continue to support the professional development of teaching staff from various aspects." Gong Zhiming, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, delivered a speech, expecting "outstanding teachers" to play a leading role and work with school teaching staff to train students to become knowledgeable, ambitious and ideal future talents.

The teachers who won the honor of "excellent performance teacher" in 2022/2023 include Wang Sen, Wu Guanqiang, Du Zhengling, Li Chun, Lin Kaixin, Lin Jiawen, Shi Hongbing, Yao Xiaohui, Qu Weizhi, You Jiangnan, Huang Guowei, Huang Jingjing, Wan Lifen, Cai Bao and Liu Erhe (in no particular order). The 15 teachers shared their experiences and insights at the sharing meeting.

It is reported that the honor awarding ceremony of "outstanding teachers" has been held for 9 times from 2014/2015 academic year to 2022/2023 academic year. 135 people have been awarded this honor, and they have become the backbone of Macao's education development.
