Hong Kong International Airport Professional Expo provides more than 7500 airport positions

People's Daily Online, Hong Kong, May 19 (Reporter Chen Ran) The "Hong Kong International Airport Professional Expo 2024" jointly organized by the Hong Kong Airport Authority and the Labor Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government was recently held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 45 participating companies have provided more than 7500 positions, including ground service, cabin service, aircraft maintenance, air cargo, etc.

Lin Shixiong, Secretary of the Department of Transport and Logistics of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, delivered a video address at the event launch ceremony, saying that the key to maintaining the "golden signboard" of Hong Kong International Airport is talent. With the launch of the three runway system of the airport within the year, the capacity and functions of Hong Kong International Airport will be greatly improved, and the aviation industry in Hong Kong will also usher in unprecedented opportunities

He Qiming, Deputy Secretary of the Labor and Welfare Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech, saying that the Hong Kong International Airport is famous for its excellent operation and efficiency, and the key is an excellent staff team. Recruitment, training and development of excellent talents are crucial to the future development of the airport. This Career Expo will let job seekers understand the latest trends and skill requirements of the aviation industry and related industries to expand their career development.

Lin Tianfu, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Airport Authority, said that the Hong Kong International Airport was comprehensively promoting a number of development projects, including "airport city", three runway system expansion projects and air cargo development. Having a huge talent pool was the key to successfully implementing these projects. The AA will continue to apply innovative technology to create more high-value employment opportunities and attract young talents.

It is reported that the airport positions provided by the Expo cover many areas, including ground service, cabin service, aircraft maintenance, air cargo, airport security, airport service, baggage handling, technology and construction services, retail and catering. Different airport companies also held more than 15 employment seminars during the event to provide information on employment opportunities and advice on career planning.
