Beijing, May 23 (Reporter Ding Yiting) According to the electric power industry statistics released by the National Energy Administration on the 23rd, by the end of April, the cumulative installed power generation capacity had exceeded 3 billion kilowatts, reaching about 3.01 billion kilowatts, an increase of 14.1% year on year. 3.01 billion kilowatts is equivalent to the total installed capacity of about 133 Three Gorges power stations. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation is about 670 million kilowatts, with a year-on-year growth of 52.4%; The installed capacity of wind power is about 460 million kilowatts, up 20.6% year on year.

From January to April, the newly increased installed power generation capacity reached 88.82 million kilowatts, an increase of 8.9 million kilowatts year on year. Among them, the newly increased installed capacity of hydropower, thermal power, wind power and solar power is about 2.72 million kilowatts, 9.16 million kilowatts, 16.84 million kilowatts and 60.11 million kilowatts respectively.

The National Energy Administration recently held the National Renewable Energy Development and Construction Dispatch Video Conference, pointing out that the development momentum of renewable energy in the first quarter of this year was good, the installed capacity continued to expand, and the power generation grew steadily. At the same time, the utilization rate of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in some regions has declined, the source grid coordination is insufficient, and the construction of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic base projects is unbalanced, which need to be paid great attention to and accelerated research and coordination solutions. The meeting required that we should fully promote the construction of three batches of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases, continue to do a good job in monthly scheduling and weekly monitoring, and promote the completion of the base project as soon as possible and the production on schedule.
