From May 15, visa free entry for foreign tourist groups by cruise

Beijing, May 15 (reporter Qi Yukun) The reporter learned from the press conference of the National Immigration Administration on May 15 that the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the General Administration of Customs had submitted to the State Council for approval, The National Migration Administration has decided to implement the visa free policy for foreign tourist groups entering China by cruise in coastal provinces of China from May 15, 2024.

It is reported that foreign tourist groups (two or more people) who take cruise ships and receive them through domestic travel agencies can enter from 13 cruise ports, including Tianjin, Liaoning Dalian, Shanghai, Jiangsu Lianyungang, Zhejiang Wenzhou and Zhoushan, Fujian Xiamen, Shandong Qingdao, Guangdong Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Guangxi Beihai, Hainangkou and Sanya, without visa, The tour group must accompany the cruise ship to the next port until the cruise ship leaves the country, and stay in China for no more than 15 days. The scope of activities includes coastal provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Beijing.

In order to support the development of cruise tourism, 7 cruise ports in Dalian, Lianyungang, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beihai and other places have been added as the ports applicable to China's transit visa free policy, facilitating foreign passengers who meet the conditions of China's transit visa free policy to transit by cruise.

According to the relevant person in charge of the National Migration Administration, the National Migration Administration has launched several measures to support and promote the development of the cruise industry, further improve the level of cruise entry and exit facilitation, and help improve the quality and efficiency of cruise operation services, focusing on facilitating the customs clearance of international cruise passengers, landing of crew, as well as cruise manufacturing and maintenance, comprehensive service guarantee, and the development of new business types, Promote the high-quality development of new cruise tourism formats.
