The terrain along the Mozhugongka New Energy Project is complex and changeable, with high mountains and ravines, about 7.884 kilometers in length. 24 new iron towers are built, with the altitude of the whole line between 4000 meters and 4750 meters, which makes the construction difficult. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will effectively meet the power grid demand of Mozhugongka County, Lhasa City, improve the power supply capacity and reliability, optimize the power grid structure, and further promote the healthy and orderly development of wind power, photovoltaic power generation and other new energy sources.

"The climate in high altitude areas is cold, dry, anoxic, strong ultraviolet ray, long sunshine time, and large temperature difference between day and night." Zhu Jin, the safety officer of the construction project of Guizhou Power Transmission and Distribution Company, said that the construction personnel not only need to overcome health problems such as altitude response, but also need to overcome the problems of construction equipment performance degradation and ergonomics impact caused by low temperature environment.

The Mozhugongka New Energy Project is located in a rugged area, with narrow roads and inconvenient traffic. There are also steep slopes, deep ditches and canyons and other unfavorable terrain for construction along the line, which pose challenges for project construction and transportation. "Usually it takes half an hour to transport the goods to their destination. It takes three hours or more."

As an important ecological barrier in China, Tibet has strict requirements for ecological protection. "Before the construction, 80% of the tower foundations need to be enclosed with soil in vegetation bags to prevent the spoil from sliding." Zhu Jin introduced that the tower foundations near the river beach need to do a good job of mud precipitation to prevent water pollution... During the construction process, the Construction Project Department strictly abides by environmental protection laws and regulations, prepares a scientific and reasonable construction plan before the commencement, and takes effective measures to reduce the damage to vegetation and wildlife, The restoration shall be completed in time to reduce the damage to the natural environment.

Since the commencement of the project, the Construction Project Department of Guizhou Power Transmission and Distribution Company has made overall planning, careful planning, efficient organization and strengthened management and control to overcome such difficulties as harsh plateau topography, difficult coordination of power cut construction, high environmental protection requirements, and difficult process management and control, so as to successfully complete the whole project.
