At the construction site of the urban shantytown in Huangjiatian District of Renhuai City's southern new city in 2017 (Panlong Water Township Phase II), the sound of percussion and the roar of machines rose one after another, and the scene was busy and tense. After the leveling work, we will start the transplanting work of green plants to ensure that the whole Panlong Watertown Phase II greening project will be completed before June 10," said Wang Junchao, a worker of the project.

The 2017 Southern New Town Huangjiatian District Urban Shantytown (Panlong Water Township Phase II) Project in Renhuai City, with a total floor area of 50249.31 square meters and a total of 208 households, is supporting the construction of property management houses, cultural activity centers, etc. At present, the main works of the project have been completed, and workers are carrying out follow-up work at the closing stage. "Now all civil works and decoration of the whole project have been completed. Now it is rainy season. We have about 60 people working overtime a day. We want to occupy sunny days and seize rainy days. We plan to complete all construction tasks by the end of June," said Zhang Rong, the project's technical director.

It is reported that the 2017 Southern New Town Huangjiatian District Urban Shantytown (Panlong Water Township Phase II) Project in Renhuai City started construction in September 2022. Since the project construction, the project team has been working hard to optimize the construction plan, focus on the construction period, and spare no effort to speed up the project progress, strive for early delivery, and provide better living environment for residents. "Since the commencement of the project, we have set up the Panlong Water Township Phase II Project Department to ensure that the personnel perform their duties and do a good job in promoting the project duration. At present, the entire project has been completed about 96%. Next, we focus on the quality while focusing on the duration, to ensure that the project is completed with quality and quantity guaranteed, and delivered on schedule." said Jian Guanghua, the project leader.

The shantytown reconstruction project is a livelihood project that benefits the people. At the construction site of the first section of the resettlement housing project of the first phase of the 2018 urban shantytown village reconstruction project in Renhuai City, there are rows of high-rise buildings. The previous planning map has now materialized into high standard resettlement housing, 452 sets of resettlement housing are about to be completed. "The residential greening and all garages of the final project have been completed. At present, the construction of fire fighting access, fire fighting linkage equipment and water and electricity commissioning are under way. At the same time, the work of civil air defense, fire fighting and completion acceptance is also being done with the administrative department to ensure the early delivery for use." Hu Peng, the project manager, said.

The shantytown reconstruction project is not only carrying the heavy task of optimizing the living environment and upgrading the urban landscape, but also a key project to improve people's livelihood. In recent years, Renhuai City has closely focused on the expectations and concerns of the people, and strictly controlled the time nodes to ensure the steady progress of the construction of shantytown reconstruction projects. Since 2023, there have been 385300 square meters and 2935 sets of shed reconstruction resettlement houses in Renhuai City, with an investment of 670 million yuan.
