People's Daily, Taijiang, April 21 (Yang Qian) On the evening of April 20, the 2024 "Miao Sisters Festival" in Taijiang, China, was grandly opened at the sister square in Taijiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province.

What is different from the past is that this year's opening ceremony is an interactive and blended stage presentation, which reflects the combination of music and dance with business enterprises, intangible cultural heritage and tourism, humanities and technology. It naturally and ingeniously integrates intangible cultural heritage culture, tourism resources, business enterprise spirit, and humanistic style through stage means, making the opening ceremony of this Miao sister festival quite bright.

The opening ceremony kicked off with the love story of "Jindan and Ejiao" told by the Miao nationality's situational song and dance "Mother Butterfly". The song and dance performances such as "Ten Thousand Wants to Give Up", "Miao Charm · Sister Flowers", "Sister Feelings · Whispering Drum", "Youth", "Just Meet You", "Intangible Cultural Heritage China · Dancing Taijiang", "My Motherland and I" and other performances took turns to perform. Li Yugang, Zhang Yingxi, Zhuang Xinyan, Meng Ran and other singers were present to sing, and the whole show was brilliant.

It is worth mentioning that at the opening ceremony, a centralized signing ceremony for investment promotion was also held in Taijiang County. There were 11 signed enterprises with a signed capital of 3.127 billion yuan. The signing of these projects will further boost the high-quality development of Taijiang's economy and society.

It is reported that the Miao Sisters' Festival is a grand traditional festival in Taijiang County, a festival of love, and a grand event to display the colorful Miao songs and dances, clothing art and rich and profound national cultural heritage. It is known as "the world's oldest Valentine's Day" and "the festival hidden in the stamens".
