Not long ago, the 2023 Western China Culture and Tourism General Evaluation List was released. Tongzi County, Guizhou Province, was awarded the title of "New Model of Culture and Tourism", and Tongzi "Village Evening" was awarded the title of "Most Influential Culture and Tourism Festival", which made netizens have more expectations for this year's "Village Evening".
The so-called "village evening" refers to a literary and artistic performance organized by a village or township during the Spring Festival. There are no stars participating in the performance of the "Village Evening" in various places, and the stage, props, and clothing are relatively simple. However, the love of villagers and netizens in various places for the "Village Evening" has not decreased because of these factors.
The advantage of "Village Evening" lies in its grounding, close to people's life and highlighting local characteristics. In this lively atmosphere full of fireworks, the villagers enriched cultural and entertainment activities and enhanced neighborhood feelings. It is performed by the villagers. As the protagonists on and off the stage, the villagers have reaped the joy of rural revitalization in the cultural interaction.
The "Village Evening" not only adds the flavor of New Year and sets off a festive atmosphere, but also is an important platform for cultivating and propagating rural culture. Many "Village Evening" programs come from local operas, acrobatics and some local traditional art performances. The "Village Evening" is a stage that allows more people to see the traditional art from the folk, and also allows more attention to the folk artists who inherit the excellent traditional culture in obscurity. This plays an important role in the inheritance and promotion of folk art. Especially with the rise of We Media and short videos, the scene of "Village Evening" was released to the social media platform by the on-site audience in the form of photos and short videos, which not only alleviated the homesickness of tourists, but also made more rural cultural characteristics and folk customs concerned and passed on.
A single branch is not spring. A hundred flowers bloom in spring. It is hoped that more villages can be seen through the window of "Village Evening".
