On the morning of March 22, Gansu Provincial Fire Rescue Corps held a ceremony to promote senior firefighters to fire rescue ranks. The ceremony was presided over by the head of the Army and attended by Cai Jianbo, a political member of the Corps.

The order of 36 firefighters including Shi Yonghong were promoted to the rank of fire rescue issued by the National Fire Rescue Bureau was read out at the ceremony. The leaders at the meeting issued the order for the rank of fire rescue to the senior firefighters' representatives, wearing the shoulder badge of the fire chief's fire rescue title. Participants watched the video clip of the promotion of high-level firefighters.

Political Commissar Cai Jianbo, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Corps, warmly congratulated the 36 comrades who were promoted this time. He said that he hoped that the promoted personnel would continue to write glory, undertake mission and set a good example for the team. Teams at all levels should build up a good talent pool for firefighters, adopt base based, practical, professional and other training methods, and strive to improve the knowledge structure, professional and technical level, management and education ability.

In his speech, the Army Chief stressed that Party committees at all levels should clearly recognize that senior firefighters are a valuable asset for team building and development, and give full play to their roles in rescuing front-line "top soldiers", team management "top geese", skill professors "good teachers", and "experts" in professional posts, so as to achieve a good situation in which people make full use of their talents. It is hoped that all staff will take this ceremony as a starting point, never forget their original intention and keep their mission in mind, consciously integrate their thoughts and actions into the decision-making and deployment of the Party Committee of the Corps, vigorously carry forward the spirit of "being a willing ox" in their work, fulfill the important tasks and tasks entrusted by the organization with high standards and strict requirements, and strive to write a new chapter in Gansu's fire rescue work and team building.
