Depend on the mountain and eat the mountain. There are many mountains and forests in Fujian. There are wild vegetables in spring, fruits in summer, red mushrooms in autumn, and fresh bamboo shoots in winter. In the mountainous areas of Fujian Province, people regard the forest as a "treasure house" and have developed hundreds of forest foods, including forest fungi, forest medicines, forest bees, forest birds, forest livestock, forest oils, forest grains, forest fruits and other series. At the same time, planting and breeding in the forest in a scientific way has realized more at one stroke. In 2023, Fujian will have 32.29 million mu of under forest economic utilization area and an output value of 83 billion yuan. Practice has proved that where resources are, there is room for expanding food.
To ask for food from the forest and protect forest land resources is the prerequisite. Today, with the help of science and technology, forest rangers can upload patrol records in real time through patrol assistant software on their mobile phones. From developing and strengthening the ranks of forest rangers to promoting forestry reform in depth; From the protection and restoration of natural forests to the development of undergrowth economy without destroying the forest ecological environment... In recent years, Fujian has insisted on attaching equal importance to forest food development and ecological protection, explored the mechanism of forestry classified management, and enhanced the sustainability of resource utilization. Only by adhering to the principle of ecological priority, environmental friendliness, resource conservation, and safeguarding the lifeline of "forest sea granary", can nature give back more abundant products and better food.
To conserve high-quality forest land and improve output efficiency, three-dimensional utilization needs to be strengthened. Tea growing in mountain colts, mushroom growing in mountain areas, Chinese herbal medicine planting under forests, beekeeping in forests... Looking at the vast forest areas in Fujian, there are "many patterns" of planting and breeding under forests. In addition to fresh food, bamboo shoots produced in the mountains are also processed into bamboo shoots, dried bamboo shoots, hand peeled bamboo shoots and other products, which can not only meet local needs, but also be exported overseas. In Shaxian Mayan Ecological Park, the forestry is managed by the state-owned forest farm, and tourism is developed in the space outside the forest land. The fruit hanging on the tree can be eaten after picking; Chuanshan dragon, grass coral, milkvetch and other crops planted under the forest have also become the ingredients of Shaxian snack stew pot. Strengthening scientific utilization, matching market demand, and highlighting diversified business can make forest food more abundant and create more value.
The forestry business cycle is long and the initial capital investment is large, so we must write a big article on inclusive finance. Innovating and developing the financial system of forestry ecological products and exploring and improving the value realization mechanism of ecological products will certainly promote the better linkage of forest "reservoir, money bank, grain bank and carbon bank" and realize the unity of ecological benefits, economic benefits and social benefits.
The forest is not only a resource pool for developing high-quality original food, but also a natural large grain depot. We should take good care of it and make good use of it. Based on local resources, optimize industrial layout, aim at superior resources to expand food sources, adhere to scientific, efficient and high-quality utilization, and diversified food supply will certainly make people's lives more colorful.
