It is reported that the chestnut croaker bee tiger is a bird of the bee tiger family, which was upgraded to the national second-class protected wild animal a few years ago. It mainly feeds on dragonflies, butterflies, bees, beetles, etc., and has the bright feather characteristics of tropical birds. Its throat is chestnut red, with black eye lines. Its wings and back are green, its tail is blue, and its inner side is orange yellow. Under the sun, its whole body is shining like gold.

"Recently, more than 80 Lizhou Bee Tigers have been observed nesting on the cliff surface of Mount Qima in Wuyuanwan Lizhou Bee Tiger Nature Reserve." The staff of the Affairs Center of Xiamen Natural Resources and Planning Bureau Nature Reserve said that the Lizhou Bee Tigers do not use the old nest, so every year after the birds leave, the staff will wash and backfill the original nest caves, New nesting areas will be established for the next year. In addition, the Reserve has also built a special pool and planted a variety of fruit and vegetable trees. The fragrance of fruits and melons has attracted bees and butterflies all the year round, which also provides a rich food resource for the chestnut throat bee tiger.

The staff said that the Wuyuan Bay Chestnut throated Bee Tiger Nature Reserve has carried out a number of optimization and improvement this year, and more Chestnut throated bee tigers will come to Xiamen to "settle down" next.
