People's Daily Online, Beijing, October 25 (Reporter Zhao Zhuqing) According to the news from the China Manned Space Engineering Office, after the study of the mission headquarters in the application and development phase of the space station, the crew of the Shenzhou 17 manned mission is composed of three astronauts, Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie and Jiang Xinlin, with Tang Hongbo as the commander. The crew consists of one second batch of astronauts and two third batch of astronauts. It is the youngest crew on average since the launch of the space station construction mission.

Tang Hongbo, male, Han nationality, native place: Xiangtan, Hunan, master's degree. He was born in October 1975, joined the army in September 1995, and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1997. He is now a first class astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade and a senior colonel in the army. He once served as the captain of a certain division and a certain regiment of the air force aviation, and was rated as a first-class pilot of the air force. In May 2010, he was selected as the second batch of Chinese astronauts. In June 2021, the Shenzhou 12 manned flight mission was carried out, and in November of the same year, it was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut" by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, and was awarded the "Third Class Aerospace Merit Medal". After comprehensive evaluation, he was selected into the crew of Shenzhou 17 manned flight mission and served as the commander.

Tang Shengjie, male, Han nationality, native place: Dingxi, Gansu, bachelor's degree. He was born in December 1989, joined the military in September 2008, and joined the Communist Party of China in March 2013. He is now an astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, Grade IV, and a lieutenant colonel of the Air Force. He once served as the squadron leader of a brigade flight squadron of the air force aviation, and was rated as a first-class pilot of the air force. In September 2020, it was selected as the third batch of astronauts in China. After comprehensive evaluation, he was selected into the crew of Shenzhou 17 manned flight mission.

Jiang Xinlin, male, Han nationality, native place: Qi County, Henan Province, bachelor's degree. He was born in February 1988, joined the military in September 2006, and joined the Communist Party of China in January 2010. He is now a Class IV astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade and a lieutenant colonel of the Air Force. He once served as the deputy captain of the flight brigade of a brigade of the air force aviation, and was rated as a first-class pilot of the air force. In September 2020, it was selected as the third batch of astronauts in China. After comprehensive evaluation, he was selected into the crew of Shenzhou 17 manned flight mission.
