The person in charge said that by establishing a 2000 mu demonstration area for comprehensive prevention and control of rice diseases and insect pests, he urged and guided 12 counties and cities to carry out field monitoring and control of rice diseases and insect pests, It provides strong support for scientific and effective prevention and control of crop diseases and insect pests and for ensuring food production safety.

In order to do a good job in the prevention and control of autumn crop diseases and pests, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently allocated 723 million yuan from the central government for agricultural disaster prevention, mitigation and relief. Among them, 371 million yuan was allocated for the prevention and control of rice diseases and insect pests to support Jiangxi, Hunan and other provinces to do a good job in the prevention and control of rice diseases and insect pests such as rice blast and rice "two migration" pests.

At the end of September, a large area of autumn grain will be harvested in China. "All major production areas should continue to focus on field management in the late autumn grain season through classified measures."
