With "ID card" Bird's nest Quality traceability
The New Express News reporter Pang Qianying, an intern, Shi Yu reported that the Malaysian bird's nest, which was banned by China for quality problems two years ago, has finally been lifted. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as "AQSIQ") posted the Announcement on the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for Imported Malaysian Bird's Nest Products (hereinafter referred to as "the Announcement") on its official website yesterday, pointing out that Malaysian bird's nest products meet the inspection and quarantine requirements and will be allowed to import from now on. What is different from the previous one is that the AQSIQ requires the imported bird's nest products to be pre packaged and labeled to ensure the traceability of bird's nest quality.
In July 2011, the "Bloody Swallow's Nest" nitrite exceeding standard event led the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China to issue relevant policies, requiring that imported bird's nests must comply with the nitrite "zero detection" standard, and all bird's nests exported from Malaysia to China were taken off the shelves due to quality problems, and the import was stopped. At the beginning of this year, the Malaysian government discussed with the competent authorities such as the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Import and Export Food Safety Administration to resume the export of Malaysian bird's nest to China and other related issues; In April, an expert delegation jointly formed by relevant national departments inspected the Malaysian bird's nest industry, and 8 of the 15 Malaysian bird's nest enterprises were qualified.
According to the Announcement, from now on, the bird's nest products imported from Malaysia to China should be reported to the Chinese side for the record. Each batch of imported bird's nest products (except for deeply processed bird's nest products) should go through quarantine approval in advance, and can be imported only after obtaining the Entry Animal and Plant Quarantine License.
At the same time, according to the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for Imported Malaysian Bird's Nest Products (the "Requirements"), the inner and outer packages of Malaysian bird's nest products exported to China should be marked with the product name, weight, bird's nest (hole) name and registration number, processing enterprise name, address and registration number, product storage conditions and production date in both Chinese and English, The labeling of relevant product information shall comply with Chinese laws and regulations and relevant standards and requirements.
Xu Bing, executive chairman of Guangdong Bird's Nest Industry Association, said that the release of the Announcement and the Requirements marked the lifting of the ban on the import and export of Chinese and Malaysian bird's nests, which had stagnated for more than two years. Chinese bird's nest traders can purchase bird's nests from the eight Malaysian bird's nest processing enterprises registered in China in the * batch announced by the National Accreditation Administration and sell them legally on the market. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) requires that the imported bird's nest products be pre packaged and labeled, which is obviously different from the "bulk" bird's nest products that cannot be traced and prosecuted, so as to ensure that the quality of legally imported bird's nest products can be traced and prosecuted, and provide institutional guarantee for government supervision, consumer protection, and distributor protection of the bird's nest market in China.
■ Current situation
Parallel bird's nest
Always available in Guangzhou
When the AQSIQ approved the import of Malaysian bird's nest products that meet the requirements from now on, the reporter visited the Guangzhou market yesterday and found that there had been Malaysian bird's nest on sale before, and the price was also more expensive than domestic bird's nest.
In a drugstore in Longkou West, Tianhe District, the bulk common bird's nest in Hainan is 26 yuan per gram, and the bulk white bird's nest is 28 yuan per gram; In the bird's nest shop on the first floor of Tianhe Beibaijia Supermarket, the price of bird's nest varies from 18.5 yuan to 67 yuan per gram, while 58.2 grams of boxed bird's nest sells for 2595 yuan, with a discount of 70% during the Spring Festival. The staff of these stores said that most bird's nests are produced in Malaysia, and those in bulk can be packed in boxes.
In terms of franchised stores, Grandbuy Zhongyi's Hong Kong Zhensheng, which sells bird's nests in bulk for 96 yuan to 108 yuan per gram, all originated in Malaysia; The white swallow cup, which is made up of Chinese cups, ranges from 55 yuan to 119 yuan per gram. It is directly indicated that the origin is in Malaysia and packaged in China; The bird's nest in Beijing Tongrentang sells for 52 yuan to 70 yuan per gram. The label has information such as shelf life, content grade, etc. The clerk said that it is directly imported from Malaysia. During the visit, the shop assistants generally said that the import procedures from Malaysia were complete and legal, and they did not know about the ban on bird's nest in Malaysia, nor about the lifting of the ban.
■ Future market
After the lifting of the ban, the market price of bird's nest in Malaysia is expected to exceed 20000 yuan/kg
Many media reported earlier that the bird's nest in Malaysia has been overstocked, and the price has plummeted by 60% or 70% compared with that before 2011. Therefore, it is said in the industry that even if the ban is lifted, the imported bird's nest market will be reorganized, and the cost of repackaging and circulation will also increase, and domestic consumers may not be able to buy cheap imported bird's nest.
A Malaysian bird's nest agent in Guangzhou once told the relevant media that the price of Malaysian bird's nest will rise a lot after the lifting of the ban. He said that at present, there are about 50 Malaysian enterprises that can export through the registration of local institutions of the Malaysian government, and their costs have increased. At the same time, they must pay taxes when entering China, and the costs will also increase accordingly. In addition, The quality of the supply is relatively guaranteed, because they will have a QR code system, the cost of dealers will also increase, so the price will rise.
Xu Bing said that the wholesale price of Malaysian bird's nest has begun to rise after the news that the ban on Malaysian bird's nest will be lifted. "After the lifting of the ban, the factory price of Malaysian bird's nest legally entering the customs will be more than 20000 yuan per kilogram, but at present, we do not know what the national tax standard is, and it is difficult to determine the price. The bird's nest has a 'quality price ratio', so we cannot just look at the price"
