China news agency, Beijing, May 22 The China Badminton Association announced on its official website the list of badminton athletes participating in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Chen Yufei, the women's singles champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, and Huang Dongping, the mixed doubles champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, were listed.

The Chinese team is the only team qualified for full participation in the badminton event of the Paris Olympic Games. It has won two seats in the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. In terms of men's singles, Shi Yuqi, the "first brother" of China's men's singles, was included in the list, and the other place belonged to Li Shifeng, a young player after the "00", who won the men's singles championship in the All England Open in 2023 and the Hangzhou Asian Games. In terms of women's singles, Chen Yufei, the women's singles champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, and He Bingjiao, who ranked sixth in Olympic points, were included in the list.

In men's doubles, Liu Yuchen, the runner up in the men's doubles at the Tokyo Olympic Games, will partner veteran Ou Xuanyi to fight in Paris. Another pair of men's doubles team, Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang, currently ranks first in the world. The two pairs of teams constitute "double insurance". Chen Morning/Jia Yifan, the "Fan Chen Group" ranking first in the women's doubles world, will compete for the gold medal in Paris, and Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning, the young group, will set foot on the Olympic field for the first time.

Guoyu has obvious advantages in mixed doubles. Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong and Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping, two Chinese teams, have taken the top two places in the Paris Olympic championship. Guoyu won the mixed doubles gold and silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games, and the two pairs of participating teams at the Paris Olympic Games were both strong enough to compete for the championship.
