On the 12th of the 2024 IAAF Intercontinental Tour in Osaka, Japan, China's Wu Yanni won the women's 100 meter hurdles final in a tie time of 12.86 seconds, setting a new record for her best performance of the season.

Wu Yanni showed good competitive condition from the beginning of the preliminaries. She ran 12.91 seconds in the third group, creating her best performance of the season, and also reached the finals with the first overall result. In the final, although Wu Yanni did not start quickly, she still won the championship in 12.86 seconds with her own strength. She broke her best performance of the season twice in a day, and she also equaled the match record set by Japanese player Akira Teroda last year. The host player Masako Fukube and Australian Danielle Shaw ranked second and third respectively.
