Beijing, May 12 (Reporter Cao Xuemeng) From May 9 to 12, the original dance poem drama "Spring of Yangjialing" jointly produced by the National Grand Theater and the Beijing Dance Academy was staged in the National Grand Theater in Beijing. This play has been included in the major project of stage art creation of the National Arts Fund. It has been rated as the excellent play of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the new era stage art, and the excellent play of the 14th National Dance Show. As the opening performance of the first "Big Play Watching Beijing" exhibition season, it has been rated as the key project of Beijing's cultural boutique project in 2022, the 10th Beijing Literature and Art Award, etc.

The play was jointly created and arranged by the BDA Youth Dance Troupe of the National Grand Theater, the Department of Chinese Folk Dance of Beijing Dance Academy, the Creative College and the Department of Chinese Classical Dance. The Spring of Yangjialing is inspired by Yan'an woodcut prints. The classic works of Yan'an woodcut prints are used as a clue to connect the whole play and extract the stage pictures and images. The play will premiere in 2022 and has completed its eighth round of performance. In order to better restore the classic printmaking, the third round of rearrangement of Spring of Yangjialing began in early 2024. The crew absorbed and refined nearly 400 opinions from the audience and experts, and after five months of polishing and upgrading, it brought new feelings to the audience.

"Printmaking student" is a new role added after this round of polishing and modification. Zhang Xiaomei, the chief director of the play, said: "This role has been conceived for a long time. He and the role of" Little Soldier "can form the intersection of time and space, and feel the echo of revolutionary history." In addition, this round of performance also adjusted the text structure and narrative clues of the work, divided into "thick soil" There are three chapters of "Breaking Dawn" and "Immortality", each of which carries an independent narrative task and expands the depth of the work from different perspectives.

The Spring of Yangjialing combines two artistic forms of dance and printmaking with the combination of dance into painting and dance painting. Dance, with its flowing lines and dynamic body language, endows the static picture with rich emotion and strength. Wang Zihan, the actor of "Printmaker", shared the creative idea of "dancing into painting": "We hope that through action expression, coupled with the perception of printmaking, we can transform it into a dramatic scene, so as to achieve spiritual sublimation, and let the audience feel the unyielding will of the people at the sacrifice of the printmaker and on the" human bridge "of the soldiers."

Huang Doudou, vice chairman of the Chinese Dancers Association, said: "By watching this dance drama, our contemporary dancers have a deeper thinking about their literary and artistic work. We should learn from the previous artists, go deep into life, take root in the people, and create dance works that originate from life and are higher than life with heart and emotion."
