In the 2024 World Table Tennis Major League (WTT) Saudi Grand Slam on the 8th, the Chinese team had mixed results. Fan Zhendong was reversed in the men's singles competition and stopped in the top 16. Liang Jingkun/Lin Gaoyuan failed to win the top four men's doubles.

Fan Zhendong won two games in a row at 11:4 and 11:4 after the start of the match, but then the German player Francesca was brave and levelled three games at 11:6, 11:8 and 12:10 to complete the reversal.

On the women's side, Wang Yidi reversed Yang Xiaoxin from Monaco at 8:11, 11:6, 11:6 and 11:7 to advance to the top eight; Chen Meng swept the Japanese player Miyo Hirano in three straight sets to advance smoothly; In a national table tennis match, Qian Tianyi defeated teammate Chen Xingtong at 11:9, 11:9 and 11:6; Sun Yingsha easily defeated Tian Zhixi of South Korea at 11:4, 11:1 and 11:5.
