Among them, the demand for flowers with special meanings, such as phalaenopsis, oncidium and tangerine, has increased significantly.

After the opening of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, which is cleared 24 hours a day throughout the year, has become an important channel for supplying Hong Kong and Macao with materials for people's livelihood. Nowadays, every day, there are several trucks full of New Year's flowers passing through the customs from the port to Hong Kong and Macao. These flowers are produced in many places in the mainland and are rich in variety.

The key to flower export is "freshness". "In order to ensure the efficient customs clearance of the annual flower, the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Customs has set up special posts to guide enterprises to make good use of the customs clearance facilitation measures such as the early declaration mode, open up a green channel for customs clearance, use intelligent bayonet systems such as one-stop, and implement measures such as immediate report and review, 7 × 24 hours, and inspection on arrival to comprehensively ensure the smooth customs clearance of the annual flower." Dong Zhengsong, an inspector of the Fourth Section of Customs Supervision of Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, said.

Like flowers, a large number of fresh agricultural products from the mainland are sent to Hong Kong and Macao every day after being supervised by the customs, enriching the "food basket" of Hong Kong and Macao residents. Gongbei Customs has done a good job in the "combination of innovation and supervision" to promote the safe and stable supply of fresh agricultural products to Hong Kong and Macao.

Lin Genrui, the person in charge of Zhuhai Xiangjin Trading Co., Ltd., the contractor responsible for supplying flowers to Macao, said that more flowers were supplied to Macao this year than in previous years. Not only the needs of Macao citizens, but also the demand for decorative annual flowers of some Macao institutions has increased.
