In the sub forum of "Building a powerful film country, industrialization and upgrading the film industry", director Liu Xiaoshi shared the exploration process of film technology in the shooting of "King of the Sky".

Liu Xiaoshi recalled that the first thing to solve in shooting "The King of the Sky" is the visual reality. Because the plane will not always fly stably in the air, and will produce tremors of different frequencies when encountering airflow, and the picture is not fixed when turning at large speed and angle, Liu Xiaoshi decided to use virtual photography to restore the high-altitude flight scenario, "so that the actors can really feel the plane is flying in front of the camera, so that the audience can also feel immersive."

"My goal is very clear, that is, to bring the audience a physical feeling with a sense of picture, rather than relying on CG effects." Liu Xiaoshi said that in order to achieve this goal, he started a hard exploration and attempt. Innovative shooting methods such as virtual shooting provide immersive experience for actors, improve the authenticity and emotional appeal of performance, and bring more possibilities for film production.

"Content is the body and technology is the use", Liu Xiaoshi believes that although technology is important, film is ultimately a "story telling skill". "On the premise of maintaining cultural self-confidence, we should embrace the cutting-edge technology. By combining technology and content, we can create a richer and more real film world."
