People's Daily, Beijing, December 28 (Reporter Liu Wei) On December 27, the fourth "Light and Shadow China" honor ceremony jointly hosted by People's Daily and China Film Association was held in Beijing People's Daily. Guo Fan, vice chairman and director of the Beijing Film Association, said at the sub forum of "Building a strong film country, industrialization and upgrading the film industry" that in the future, he hoped to achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase in the process of film production through more technology empowerment.

Guo Fan recalled his idea when writing the script of Wandering Earth 2 three years ago, "We predicted that if we expanded our world outlook and added virtual and digital fields to the script, could AI be involved?"

In his view, all previous iterations of technology are determined by productivity. When a new technology appears, the first thing to do is to recognize it. "In about three months, we have run 19 new technology enterprises, communicated with scientific researchers and university scholars, and really recognized what AI is, what its boundaries are, and what its development trend is. Based on these, we will analyze what can be used in the film field."

"For example, the production team has a coordinating position, which helps us break all scripts into daily filming notices and plans. We can help complete this work through artificial intelligence, which can become more efficient." Guo Fan gave an example.

Guo Fan said that in the future, he hoped that more professional companies would join in cooperation to contribute to the exploration of Chinese film industrialization.
