——Go ahead without looking behind, turn from darkness to light, advance civilization for the world, create happiness for mankind, and create a youth family, a youth country, a youth nation, a youth human, a youth earth, and a youth universe with the help of youth.

Comrade Li Dazhao is a pioneer of the Chinese Communist movement, a great Marxist, an outstanding proletarian revolutionary, and one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China. In 1913, he traveled to Japan, studied at Waseda University in Tokyo, and began to contact with socialist thought and Marxism. After returning to China in 1916, he took an active part in the New Culture Movement, publicized the spirit of democracy and science, attacked the old ethics and morality, and launched a fierce struggle against the feudal diehards. The determination and passion of him and his comrades in arms to transform the old China strongly stimulated the vigorous vitality and enterprising spirit of the Chinese youth at that time.
