The Museum of Chinese Scientists is located in the National Science and Technology Communication Center in the Cultural Complex of Beijing Olympic Central Area, and is the first museum in the world to be established in the name of a country for a group of scientists. The first exhibition includes one main exhibition and five special exhibitions, with a total exhibition area of about 5000 square meters. The public can make a free reservation from the afternoon of May 30.

It is reported that the "Old Scientists Academic Growth Data Collection Project" has provided rich collection resources for the construction of the Chinese Scientists Museum. Since the implementation of the acquisition project in 2009, 674 scientists have completed the collection of academic growth data, obtaining 147000 physical original data, 345000 digital data, 470000 minutes of video data, 560000 minutes of audio data, covering letters, manuscripts, scientific instruments, works Precious historical materials such as audio, video and related cultural relics and documents recording major events in China's scientific and technological development have been built into the largest, richest and most extensive collection project of scientists' precious historical data in China.

According to Meng Lingyun, deputy director of the Science and Technology Communication Center of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the next step, the Chinese Scientists Museum will focus on six functions: collecting historical data, collecting historical data, academic research, exhibition, education and teaching, and cultural publicity; In addition, we should also focus on strengthening the construction of the system of scientists museums, organize and drive the national scientists' spiritual education base and relevant educational and scientific research institutions, and establish a national consortium of scientists museums.
