People's Daily Online, Beijing, May 21 (Reporter Li Yihuan) The academic forum on theories and methods of regional and national music research was recently held in Hunan Normal University. On the same day, the Institute of Art Anthropology of the School of Music of Hunan Normal University was inaugurated.

It is reported that after its establishment, the Institute will be committed to the establishment, publication and publication of academic achievements, providing scientific research achievements support for the discipline evaluation, interdisciplinary research, and integration of various disciplinary resources of theoretical research on art in the School of Music of Hunan Normal University, focusing on promoting academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, building a high-level scientific research and innovation team, and strengthening the construction of academic ecology.

Yu Weiliang, a member of the Education Working Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, said that Hunan Province attaches great importance to the inheritance, development, research and promotion of Hunan's music culture, vigorously promotes exchanges and cooperation between universities in the province and domestic and foreign music research institutions and conservatories, and promotes the spread of Hunan's music culture overseas. The study of regional and national music provides a comprehensive interpretation and in-depth analysis of music at home and abroad from a unique perspective, which is conducive to a deeper understanding of the characteristics and development trends of music culture in various countries around the world.

Liu Huaide, vice president of Hunan Normal University, said that music, as a common language of mankind, has distinctive regional and national characteristics, and conducting regional and national music research is an effective way to understand the civilization of a region and a country. It is hoped that experts and scholars will have extensive exchanges, focus on new theories and methods of regional and national music research, and build the forum into an academic brand with continuous attraction and vitality.

Wang Tiegang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Music of Hunan Normal University, introduced the subject construction, scientific research, talent team and other aspects. He said that in recent years, the discipline construction of the School of Music of Hunan Normal University has achieved breakthrough development. It is hoped that through this forum, more communication platforms will be built to create new chapters and new situations for regional and national music research, so as to expand the new field of music research.

It is reported that the forum was hosted by Hunan Normal University and undertaken by the Conservatory of Music of Hunan Normal University. At the same time, keynote speeches, scholars' speeches and reviews were set up. More than 200 experts and scholars from more than 30 universities and scientific research institutes, including the Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and China Academy of Arts, attended the seminar on the spot.
