On May 9, at the arrival of the National Day for Disaster Prevention and Reduction, 20 international students from Pakistan, Germany, Bangladesh and Equatorial Guinea entered the Life Cycle Safety Experience Hall located in Cangkou Street, Licang District, Qingdao, Shandong Province, and participated in the theme activity of "experience safety and science popularization to build a safe future".

At the scene, under the guidance of professionals, the international students practiced fire safety, medical rescue, high-altitude escape, drowning prevention and other escape and rescue skills, and immersively experienced earthquake escape, fire rescue and so on.

It is reported that with the approval of the State Council of China, May 12 of each year will be the National Day for Disaster Prevention and Reduction from 2009. May 12, 2024 will be the 16th National Day for Disaster Prevention and Reduction, with the theme of "everyone talks about safety and everyone knows how to respond to emergencies - strive to improve the ability of disaster prevention and risk avoidance at the grass-roots level".
