On March 28, the founding ceremony of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei Myopia Prevention and Control Education Alliance and the 8th Myopia Prevention and Control Publicity and Education Month was held in Tianjin.

With the theme of "effectively reducing myopia and jointly safeguarding a bright future", the activity was guided by the Department of Sports, Health and Arts of the Ministry of Education, hosted by Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Hebei Provincial Department of Education, and co organized by Tianjin Medical University and other units.

Representatives of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei provincial education administrative departments, representatives of the National Myopia Prevention and Control Reform Pilot Area, pilot counties (cities and districts) and school representatives made exchange speeches. Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei jointly launched the "Beijing Tianjin Hebei Myopia Prevention and Control Education Alliance". Representatives attending the activity went to Anshan Road Primary School in Heping District of Tianjin and Tianjin No. 55 Middle School to observe and investigate, and the myopia prevention and control experts from three places discussed the science popularization and guidance scheme for myopia prevention and control in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

In recent years, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have firmly established the education concept of "health first", and formed different approaches to myopia prevention and control.

Tianjin issued the Work Plan for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Children and Teenagers' Myopia, established a joint conference mechanism, strengthened overall guidance, strengthened departmental responsibilities, and carried out eight special actions around guiding students to consciously love their eyes and use electronic products scientifically and normatively. The school was equipped with optometry equipment, and all primary and secondary school students' vision screening was carried out and included in the popular support project for two consecutive years. The visual health of school-age children and adolescents was 100% electronically archived. It is advocated to have one physical education class every day in the compulsory education stage. In combination with the "double reduction", it is necessary to reduce the amount of time students spend using their eyes in close proximity and ensure students' outdoor physical exercise. Establish a group of model schools for myopia prevention and control, and summarize and promote experience and practices. Establish Tianjin Myopia Prevention and Control Publicity and Education Alliance to form a strong publicity force.

Beijing gave full play to the role of the inter bureau joint meeting mechanism of youth sports and health, strengthened the system construction, and created a myopia prevention and control system for primary and secondary school students with the city, district, and school networks as the main body. Implementation of the new version of the Beijing Administrative Measures for Physical Examination of Primary and Secondary School Students, the implementation of twice a year remote vision and refraction monitoring, funding security. Adhere to the principle of starting from the source, promote students to move with the reform of sports evaluation, and include the physical health test results of the fourth, sixth and eighth grade national students in the total score of the middle school entrance examination. Vigorously promote the integration of sports and education, promote physical exercise skills, and develop sports suitable for family outdoor activities. More efforts were made to equip full-time school doctors, and 100% of the primary and secondary schools in the city were equipped with health vice principals. Strengthen the cooperation between family, school and community, carry out publicity and education in an all-round way, and create a good atmosphere for the whole society to pay attention to and participate in myopia prevention and control.

Hebei Province printed and distributed a series of documents such as the Implementation Plan for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Children and Adolescents' Myopia, established the system of double team leaders of the main responsible comrades in the education and health departments, and included the prevention and control of myopia in the evaluation of the municipal people's government. We will strengthen the construction of pilot counties (cities, districts) and reform pilot areas for myopia prevention and control nationwide, and explore experience in myopia prevention and control. Increase financial investment and improve the eye environment. Improve the test content, test method and scoring method of the physical education middle school entrance examination, and guide students to take part in physical exercise actively. The activities of eye exercises twice a day and the national "Eye Care Day" and "National Myopia Prevention and Control Publicity and Education Month" were solidly carried out to guide parents to change the concept of "treating more seriously than preventing".

This activity is an important measure to build a working pattern of prevention and control of myopia among children and adolescents in Beijing Tianjin Hebei where departments are coordinated, institutions are linked and resources are shared. Next, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei will continue to carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific research, publicity and education, personnel training, pilot school construction and other aspects of myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents, integrate the resource advantages of the three places, form a more perfect and effective regional myopia prevention and control system, and comprehensively improve the eye health level of children and adolescents in the three places.
