People's Daily Online, Beijing, February 2 (Reporter Hao Mengjia) Recently, the Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in the National Unified Examination for Foreign Language Proficiency and Comprehensive Discipline Proficiency of Persons with Equal Academic Qualifications Applying for Master's Degree in 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Notice). The notice clearly states that the foreign language examination will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on May 19, 2024, and the comprehensive level examination will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The notice indicates that the applicant should have obtained a bachelor's degree and have worked for more than 3 years after obtaining the bachelor's degree (that is, those who have obtained the bachelor's degree before the end of March 2021); Or has obtained a master's or doctor's degree without a bachelor's degree; Or those who have passed the certification of the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education with bachelor's degree (those who have obtained the degree before the end of March 2021), master's degree or doctor's degree.

The notice requires that the applicant's relevant materials in teaching, scientific research, expertise, management and other aspects have been submitted to the degree awarding unit, and the degree awarding unit has reviewed and determined that the applicant is qualified to apply for a master's degree.

According to the Tentative Measures on Granting the Professional Degree of Master of Clinical Medicine, Stomatology and Traditional Chinese Medicine to Persons with the Same Degree of Postgraduate Graduation (Degree [2015] No. 10), the qualification of candidates who apply for the professional degree of clinical medicine, stomatology and master of traditional Chinese medicine with the same degree is not restricted by the above conditions, but they must meet the following conditions: I. Clinical medicine, stomatology Bachelor degree in traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional and western medicine; 2、 Residents who are receiving standardized training for residents or clinicians who have obtained the Qualification Certificate for Standardized Training for Residents; 3、 The professional degree category and field applied by the applicant should correspond to the resident standardized training specialty.

The notice said that those who apply for a master's degree with the same academic qualifications (hereinafter referred to as "persons with the same academic qualifications") must take the foreign language proficiency test, and the language to be tested should be the same as the language specified in the training program for master's graduates in the corresponding discipline applying for the degree. English, Russian, French, German and Japanese are the main languages of the national unified foreign language proficiency test.

If an applicant applies for a master's degree in foreign languages and literature, the language of the foreign language proficiency test must be the same as the second foreign language specified in the degree awarding unit's master's training program for the discipline, and the degree awarding unit has opened the course.

Those with the same educational level can apply for a master's degree in Marxist theory, and can take the comprehensive level examination of philosophy or political science; To apply for a master's degree in educational economics and management, you can take the public management or comprehensive level examination of pedagogy.

In addition, candidates must register or update their registration information on the information platform before March 1 according to the requirements of the notice. The degree awarding unit must complete the examination of candidates' information on the information platform before March 5. After passing the examination and completing the payment, candidates can take the exam.
