In the forum, Jiang Hong put forward her own views on the core issue of building an educational power: "who to train, how to train people, and for whom". She believed that whether it is a comprehensive university, a professional university, or an international university, these are the common problems facing at present.

Jiang Hong said that from the perspective of higher education, whether it is a century old university with profound accumulation or a young university in its prime, it may have different models and characteristics, but the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people cannot be changed, which is the foundation of building a university.

She spoke about her understanding of the spirit of educators based on the actual work of South University of Science and Technology The spirit of serving the people is also the common ground between the spirit of scientists and the spirit of educators. With this as the focus, the school has done a lot of work, including organizing high-level talents to participate in training classes on national conditions and party history for many times, going into the Atomic City of China to inherit and learn the spirit of "two bombs and one star", organizing various exhibitions, movies, performances and other activities, and infecting young teachers and students with the true deeds of patriotic scientists, which has achieved remarkable results.

With regard to the connotation of "happy education, loving life and willing to contribute" in the spirit of educators, Jiang Hong said that South University of Science and Technology, through a high-level faculty, implements the PI system, the collaborative education model of academies and colleges, and advocates young students to cultivate "five perspectives": the overall view, the collective view, the rule of law, the gratitude view, and the cultivation view. This is also based on the characteristics of South University of Science and Technology students. For example, this year 70% of the graduates of South University of Science and Technology will continue to study, 40% of whom will go to world-class universities to study. The school also hopes that every student can experience the spirit of educators in their teachers when growing up, and train students to really go out with a Chinese heart and return with a national spirit.
