    1. Briefly introduce your professional photography career. What does portrait photography mean to you?

I started photography in 2012 when I was studying in New York. During the summer vacation of my first year of graduate school, I had my first full frame SLR camera. At that time, I was very interested in the creation of humanistic documentary, and just had a friend who was going to do a humanistic survey report, so I launched a public welfare photographer collection. Because this project was in China, and I just planned to return home, I went to Shaanxi with him.

In Shaanxi, I took a series of humanistic documentary photos, one of which is called "Seven Tumors". After I published them on the Internet, they became influential social news. In the photos, the beggars suffering from tumors also received free treatment from the relevant departments, which gave me a great image, For the first time, I realized the power of photography - which also helped me embark on a career path of photography.

Then I worked as an independent photographer in New York and Beijing for several years, and finally returned to Shanghai, the city where I studied as an undergraduate.

Whether it's humanistic photography or portraits, I tend to take pictures with natural temperature. Just like playing music, it is more meaningful for me to convey and influence more people with feelings and consciousness in the form of art, so that everyone can feel the same and have the same emotions as themselves.

2, Hasu X2D 100C What are the advantages of taking portraits?

The most attractive thing to me about Hasu X2D 100C is the Hasu natural color solution HNCS, which is also known to many photographers as Hasu color. In the face of any scene, we strive to present true and accurate colors, which is also the most unique charm brought by Hasu: the pictures it takes are almost the same as what you can see with the naked eye.

Interview with Lin Haiyin: Why Hasu X2D 100C and XCD 2,5/90V

Therefore, when using Hasu X2D 100C to shoot portraits, I think Hasu's unique HNCS color science is a great advantage, which can achieve true natural color restoration. The photos taken with Hasu X2D 100C can clearly see the details of the picture after zooming in. The overall picture quality is very realistic and delicate. The 100 million ultra-high pixels of Hasu X2D 100C are also very convenient for us to do the secondary cutting in the later stage when shooting, which gives a lot of space in the later stage, and even if most of them are cut, the picture quality and texture can still remain at a very high level.

The camera's large screen also looks back at photos on the shooting scene in a very important way, and the firmware update of face recognition focusing has also significantly improved the camera's focusing performance, allowing me to complete automatic focusing faster when shooting. Generally speaking, Hasu X2D 100C really brings us too many surprises for photographers who often take portraits.

    3. In the subject of portrait photography, what elements do you think the ideal lens should have?

First of all, the focusing speed should be as fast as possible. There are many instantaneous expression changes in portrait shooting. I hope to capture them quickly and accurately.

Secondly, the aperture should be slightly larger. A large aperture will produce a shallow depth of field, which will lead to a larger blurry area to highlight the portrait as the focus of the picture. At the same time, the fixed focus lens will also enable us to obtain more excellent portrait image quality.

Of course, in addition, the image quality and pixels are also very important factors, so that we can make the portrait photos show a better natural realism when we print in the later magnification or re cut.

    4. What projects were shot with XCD 2,5/90V this time? What memorable moments were there when shooting these projects?

This time I took XCD 2,5/90V to the westernmost part of Mongolia, and took a group of pictures with the theme of "Eagle Tampers on the Grassland". The main character of the story is the family of a Kazakh herdsman in Mongolia. I recorded their ancient traditions and slow time on the grassland with my camera.

In the Kazakh winter ranch, I lived and ate with this family, recorded their daily life, and felt the vitality of the grassland. My favorite moment is the sunrise and sunset every day, and the smoke rises. Everything in the camera is like a picture in a movie. The life in the winter pasture is hard, and everything here follows the fate of natural selection. I saw the newborn puppies, the small foxes digging holes, and the kittens playing with their owners. There are many lovely animals, and they are also favored by this family. There are many unforgettable moments there. For example, at night, children get together and play a game like dice with small animal bones. I also joined them to enjoy simple happiness.

I used X2D 100C and XCD 2,5/90V to record the time I lived with them these days. Now, every time I look at these photos, I feel so warm. As the young generation of local people gradually move to cities and towns, the ancient nomadic tradition and falcon custom also gradually disappear. We don't know whether they will be the last generation of falcons in Mongolia, but at least we left these memories in the camera, so for me, this may be the meaning of video recording.

    5. How is the performance of XCD 2,5/90V lens combined with the shooting of this sample film?

The XCD 2,5/90V lens used in this shooting has a 90mm focal length, which is equivalent to a full picture angle of 75mm. The illusion and sense of space brought by the medium and long focal length and the middle picture frame bring a very comfortable visual experience. At the same time, the shutter speed also reached a maximum of 1/4000 seconds between mirrors. In addition, the XCD 2,5/90V lens is also equipped with a large aperture of F2.5, bringing an amazing illusion effect, which is very suitable for shooting portraits. At the same time, its weight is only 551g, nearly half of the weight of the 80mm lens, which is very suitable for travel.
