Xinhua News Agency, Changchun, April 29 (reporter Duan Xu, Xue Qinfeng) National Day military parade, APEC meeting, G20 Hangzhou Summit... These high-profile activities are inseparable from the red flag of "National Vehicle". Behind the dazzling brand, a vehicle service guarantee team with excellent style ensures that the travel task is foolproof. Wu Dianwei, a FAW worker, is one of them, and is known as the "national guard" who fulfills his mission.
"I just like cars," said Wu Dianwei. When he first started working in 1991, Wu Dianwei was still an ordinary stamping worker of FAW Changchun. His love for cars and dedication made him switch from stamping technology to automobile maintenance. Finally, he took root in the final assembly workshop of the original FAW Car Company's Hongqi Business Department, and has worked for more than ten years.
With love and diligence, Wu Dianwei's technology has advanced by leaps and bounds. As workers all know, it is right to find Wu Dianwei when encountering difficulties. To be foolproof is the basic requirement for "Guoche" to carry out major tasks. In order to achieve this goal, Wu Dianwei and his colleagues studied hard.
In 2007, Wu Dianwei became a member of the Red Flag Review Vehicle Project Team for the 60th anniversary of the National Day with his superb technology. At the initial stage of production preparation, he is responsible for the electrical inspection and mechanical maintenance of the whole vehicle. When assembling the sample vehicle, Wu Dianwei found that the matching between the electrical parts of the inspection vehicle was extremely complex, and could not be verified before loading, which might cause hidden dangers.
How to solve this problem at the source? Undeterred, Wu Dianwei devoted himself to research and planning all day long. "At that time, it was like being possessed by the devil. When he had time, he spread all the circuit diagrams of the whole vehicle on the open ground of the logistics warehouse for research." He said that when he was hungry, he would soak in instant noodles, and when he was sleepy, he would lie on the ground for a while, verifying, designing and manufacturing again and again.
More than two months later, a workbench for circuit operation state detection was designed and put into use, greatly improving the efficiency and quality of automobile assembly.

On the National Day of 2009, when the Red Flag Review Vehicle successfully completed its mission, Wu Dianwei and the team workers hugged closely, joyful, excited and proud
Over the past ten years, relying on his rich experience and excellent technical level, Wu Dianwei has participated in more than 260 national level important activities and the service guarantee of protocol reception. Where the red flag car goes, Wu Dianwei will appear.
In 2015, the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War was held. The red flag parade vehicles, news gathering vehicles, red flag state guest vehicles and other vehicles in the event must be free of faults, hidden dangers and great security pressure.
This is a huge test for Wu Dianwei and his team. He tracked the parade vehicle from assembly to offline, and repeatedly carried out technical confirmation and reliability verification in limited time. "In major events, vehicles must be absolutely safe in terms of 'zero hidden danger, zero failure, zero breakdown'," Wu Dianwei said.
The security work must be meticulous and not disorderly in the face of danger. During a daily drill, a little smoke suddenly appeared in the cab of the vehicle, which made the tester nervous. With years of maintenance experience, Wu Dianwei was very calm: "Don't panic, pull over the car." He first went to the front of the faulty car to start troubleshooting, and soon found that the fault was caused by the driver's careless misoperation. It took only 5 minutes from finding the fault to finally removing it.
Tension, hard work, hard work... But Wu Dianwei was happy to see the Red Flag car developing better and better. Today, he is still at the forefront of the service guarantee of the national car. "As a person who loves red flags and works in red flags, we should make our red flag cars' ultimate standards and requirements' and make our national brand the pride of our motherland," he said.
