Carl Rogers is an important spokesman of American humanistic psychology. He attaches great importance to the potential of self growth. For the struggling client sitting at the side of the table in the consulting room, Rogers unconditionally regarded him as a person with self-worth, and firmly believed that he "could reorganize his personality and organize the relationship between himself and life in a more mature way." He initiated the "client centered therapy": applying "empathy" and unconditional active attention to technology to create a positive Respectful consultation relationship promotes the change and growth of the parties. Rogers is considered to be one of the most influential psychologists in contemporary psychotherapy.
In the last 15 years of his life, Rogers hosted group self-help seminars in many countries and regions, and applied his theory to promoting regional and world peace. On January 28, 1987, a few days before his death, Rogers was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
