Project Background

 

The Training Course for Positive Psychological Mentors of the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University will be held in Tsinghua University from May 20 to 25, 2016. The program was lectured by Professor Peng Kaiping, head of the Department of Psychology of Tsinghua University, and trainers with overseas positive psychology educational background and profound experience.

        The course of this training course has been targeted to provide professional and practical multi angle training for students. After the training, the trainees will obtain the graduation certificate of "Positive Psychology Instructor Training Class" issued by the Education and Training Management Office of Tsinghua University. The students with certificates will have the qualifications to act as instructors of positive psychology, and have the qualifications and skills to engage in and carry out work related to positive psychology training.


Enrollment target

1、 Be interested in positive psychology, and be willing to learn, disseminate theoretical knowledge of positive psychology, and promote the practical application of positive psychology;

2. Education background in psychology, education, management, sociology, medicine, etc. is preferred.

Note: Leading cadres of Party and government organs, state-owned enterprises, and public institutions at or above the level of deputy department must hold a letter of consent affixed with the official seal of the superior personnel organization department before admission.

He once served as a member of the scientific leading group of the American Psychological Society, director of social personality psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, director of the Down Foundation of the United States, and a member of the board of directors of the Young Leaders Forum of BMW, Germany, providing strategic, personnel, corporate culture and management consulting for many governments and international companies, such as Ford, BMW, NASA, Vanke, AVIC General Equipment Department, etc. Professor Peng Kaiping is a regular guest professor of many internationally renowned business schools, and has won the EMBA Best Teaching Award of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University for many consecutive years.

Professor Fan Fumin is a certified psychologist of the Chinese Psychological Society and a registered psychological supervisor of the Chinese Psychological Society. She is also the keynote teacher of the first online video open course "College Students' Mental Health" of the Ministry of Education. She has traveled to Japan, India, South Korea, the United States, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Russia, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries and regions for international and domestic academic exchanges, Active in the academic arena of mental health education, psychological consultation and psychotherapy.

He is an expert in positive psychology, a researcher of the Positive Psychology Research Center of the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, a vice president of the American Institute of Positive Psychology Education, and a deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Association of Positive Psychology. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in education, Annie studied psychology at Harvard University and applied positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, and studied under Professor Seligman, the founder of positive psychology. She has participated in the development of psychological tests such as Administrative Professional Competence Test in the national civil servant recruitment examination. She is the chief expert of the active psychological counseling project of the All China Women's Federation. He is the author of Positive Life in a Negative Era and the translator of Seligman's Sustained Happiness.

He once learned from Martin Seligman, the father of positive psychology and former president of the American Psychological Society Seligman), He is the director of the active education sub project of the 12th Five Year Education Research Project of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China; He is also the head of the University of Pennsylvania and the China Education Research Group, and presided over the first national training in positive educational psychology for primary and secondary school principals in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, and the scientific measurement of training effectiveness.

My close relationship with CPPA Happy China editorial team

 

 

Under the arrangement of Dr. Wang Weihua, tutor of Happiness, Five day meeting, I share a hotel with the editors of CPPA Happy China. Frequently listening to reports together and having close contact with each other, I was deeply moved by the active devotion and dedication of CPPA Happy China editorial team.

Every member of CPPA Happy China editorial team has a little-known story, and the news reports of the five days of the conference are from this loving editorial team. They are a strong cohesive team composed of six people, including the chief editor, happiness mentor Dr. Wang Weihua, deputy chief editor Wei Fengying, editor in charge Liu Lixin, Wen Shuchen, Liu Xiulan and Zou Min.

My mentor, Dr. Wang Weihua, met me in November 2012 when I attended the China International Conference on Positive Psychology in Beijing. Dr. Wang Weihua's speech "The Power of Positive Psychology" deeply shocked more than 800 conference delegates on the scene. During the meeting, I grabbed Dr. Wang Weihua's hand first in front of many fans, carefully asked her for advice, and sincerely invited her to give lectures in our school. In May 2013, Dr. Wang Weihua finally came to Wenzhou University to give a lecture on "College Students' Happiness Class" for all teachers and students, which caused a great sensation. In May 2014, I invited Dr. Wang Weihua to Wenzhou for the second time to deliver happiness to more than 2000 teachers and students from five universities and give a lecture on "Happiness", which strengthened our belief in spreading happiness.

Thanks to Mr. Wang Weihua for his careful arrangement and settling me in the same hotel with several editors in charge. Since we often listen to reports and communicate together, I have become good friends with the five editors. During the five days of meetings, I often see that Mr. Wang Weihua comes to the hotel late at night to deliver snacks and fruits to the editorial team members who work silently and concentrate on writing. On the one hand, he talks with the editors about writing, typesetting and reviewing, and on the other hand, he cares about the health of the editors. They write articles every day, Edit the article, Revise the article, Review articles until they are confirmed for publication, It didn't end until early morning.

Behind the scenes story of the editing team during the meeting

 

 

At about 10 o'clock on the evening of July 4, after listening to the speech at the conference branch, I returned to the hotel and met Wei Fengying, the deputy editor in chief. She also hurried to Room 1228 of the hotel. I saw her pale face and tired face. I said hello to her. She smiled and nodded to me and said that she would hurry to the room to write the press release for today's conference. I saw Liu Lixin Liu Xiulan and Wen Shuchen were all immersed in writing. When they were touched, I bought some fruits and snacks to send to them. At this time, I suddenly saw Wei Fengying running to the bathroom with her stomach pressed down. She was vomiting violently and said it was OK. It was my stomach attack. At that time, my whole body was trembling. I was very nervous and afraid of an accident. I called Ms. Weihua and asked her to come quickly. Wei Fengying had a severe stomachache. After a while, Ms. Wang Weihua brought stomach medicine to Fengying to eat in time, so that she could rest immediately and write the unfinished newsletter to other editors first. Feng Ying, lying on the bed, only heard her weak voice saying, "I'll be fine after taking the stomach medicine. I'll write by myself later. Their editors have their own writing tasks." I sat beside Feng Ying with teacher Wei Hua, and was moved by her professionalism. All of us here silently said with tears in our eyes, "Your health is very important. Please take a rest first." However, Wei Fengying continued to complete the task of writing on July 5 with strong perseverance and a serious attitude of responsibility first after a moment of leisure.

The CPPA Happy China editorial team I saw is a caring fighting team, a team full of positive optimism, unity and harmony, and dedication. They also have many touching stories that few people know about. But because I was in a hurry, I only wrote small pieces, and will continue to report in the future. But I firmly believe that under the leadership of the editor in chief, Dr. Wang Weihua, more and more people will participate in the team and play an increasingly important role. In April 2014, the Department of Psychology of Tsinghua University and the Research Center for Positive Psychology of Tsinghua University set up an academic committee of the "China Positive Psychology Research Fund", where the leaders from the Chinese psychology community gathered on Tsinghua campus to discuss the strategic plan for promoting the development of positive psychology in China. In the past year or more, in order to achieve this goal, we have traveled around and widely publicized, and finally raised a research fund of 2 million yuan every year to encourage teachers, students, Chinese educators and enthusiasts in the Chinese psychology community to engage in active basic research in psychology.

In January 2015, we officially launched the application for this fund. In just four months, we received hundreds of applications for fund projects from all over the country, covering many research fields.
