Miscellaneous talk

How did this long microblog come about?
Some time ago, I was interviewed by a media friend. On the one hand, it introduces my work and writing, and on the other hand, it promotes new books. Today, this report came out with the title:
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
And there is a paragraph in it that says:
"On one occasion, the police station felt that a person had died at the scene, but he woke up during the autopsy. It was a fake corpse."

When I saw this, my expression was like this:
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
Then I read the following comments:
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?

After reading, my expression is like this:
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
In this way, "Forensic Qin" became "Godstick Qin" with the speed of thunder.
Is there another "stick stick" after such inelegant nicknames as "cousin", "mage" and "winter melon"?
    My heart is broken.

In order to recover the bad influence, it is necessary for me to write a popular science article about "faking the corpse" while declaring that "the above content is misreading".

The source of this topic is from the chapter of "Big Eyed Boy" in Corpse Whisperer. Of course, this is a true story.

That was when "Forensic Qin" appeared at the scene as an intern. The police station received a report that an old man who repaired shoes was killed in his rented house. From the window opposite the second floor of the rental house, the police officer saw that the old man had not moved in bed for two days, there was no sign of breathing, and there was a suspected large blood stain on the sheets.
After we arrived at the scene, we carefully handled the entrance and exit of the scene. It can be said that all work before approaching the elderly was carried out in accordance with the procedure standards for handling homicide cases. When we went up to the second floor and saw the old man, we found that the bed was only urine stains, not blood stains. In this way, the probability of a homicide case is greatly reduced. We preliminarily speculate that the elderly are likely to die from disease.
According to the rules, I put on gloves and prepared to conduct "on-site cadaver table inspection" on the "corpse" (please pay attention to this word). When I met the old man, he suddenly turned around, glared at me and said, "What are you doing?"
I admit that this experience was the most "horrible" one I met in my forensic practice. Without experience and psychological preparation, I was really scared when I met such a situation:
#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?
    Well, science popularization begins.
In fact, in medical practice, we occasionally encounter a situation where people seem to be dead, and no vital signs can be detected, but they will wake up after a while, which is called "suspended animation".
The individual life activity of a person is in an extremely weak state, and no vital signs can be found by using general clinical examination methods. It seems that the person is dead in appearance, but is actually alive. This state is called suspended animation. Suspended death is the result of cerebral ischemia, hypoxia and high inhibition. At this time, the brain function is in a highly protective inhibition state, which is manifested as suspended death. Suspended death can be seen in mechanical asphyxia such as choking, strangling, hanging, drowning, especially neonatal asphyxia; Central nervous system inhibitory drug poisoning and CO poisoning; Low temperature anesthesia or cold, freezing; Electric shock, cerebral hemorrhage, strong mental stimulation; Severe diarrhea or dehydration; Postpartum hemorrhage, nutritional disorders, uremia and many other situations.
In the past, medicine was underdeveloped and examination methods were not advanced, and suspended animation was occasionally seen, but today, with modern medical examination methods, suspended animation is extremely rare.
The above story also happened without the doctor's inspection and rescue.
In other words, the "fake corpse" in many novels, movies and TV plays is actually fake death.

Now comes the question. "Fake death" is also very rare, so how can a forensic doctor know whether the deceased is really dead or fake death before an autopsy?
This reminds me of a joke. "Report leader! The autopsy conclusion has been reached, and the dead died of autopsy!"
In fact, the situation in this joke is impossible.
The forensic autopsy work is divided into several steps, mainly including on-site autopsy, autopsy and autopsy.
The work at the initial stage of on-site postmortem examination is to confirm the death of the deceased.
The cadaver surface inspection is a non-invasive inspection of the body surface. At this stage, forensic doctors must confirm whether the deceased has really died.
In addition to 120 advanced detection instruments as confirmation, forensic doctors need to see the "corpse phenomenon that can confirm death" in person before they can confirm death and conduct further autopsy.
Friends who often read the series of novels of "Forensic Qin Ming" will know that "body spots" and "stiff bodies" are corpse phenomena that can confirm that the body has really died.

    Summarize the central idea:
    1. "Corpse" can not "cheat", and those who can "cheat" are not "corpses".
    2. "Conclusion on the cause of death" will never be "forensic anatomy".
    3. Believing in science and respecting science are the basic ideological roots of forensic science. "Forensic Qin" is not "stick Qin".

Finally, make a request. Although the above media misinterpreted my meaning, their original intention was to help me promote my new book "The Scavenger", which was just like a mountain apart. Don't attack them, thank you.
(Thanks to the efforts of readers and media friends, the sales volume of Scavenger is really great! At this moment, my mood is

#Forensic doctors make # # statements every day that # "corpse" can really "cheat"?

      Of. Thank you! Thank you!)
