This scroll was painted by Chen Xian, a monk painter in the late Ming Dynasty one thousand six hundred and forty-three In, 24 Buddhist figures were painted in the long scroll. The first part of the long scroll is the inscription of the famous monk Mu An who was contemporary with Chen Xian in the late Ming Dynasty. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the wooden temple sex monk went to Japan from Quanzhou to promote law and became the second generation founder of the Japanese Huangberzong.
At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Chen Xian, a painting monk, was named Xisan, Zhankui, semi bald monk, and Huashan Taoist. He likes to paint Buddha figures, and his calligraphy looks like Wen Zhengming.
